Mobile Smiles FAQ

Mobile Smiles is an oral health care service for people with mobility issues, or people who find it a challenge to travel to a traditional dental clinic. We treat entire familes in their homes as this is a convenient solution for busy moms and dads. And we have begun working with medium to large-sized employers to treat employees right in the workplace as a staff benefit. We can visit your home, workplace, long term care facility or retirement residence.

We serve all of metro St. John’s Newfoundland and surrounding areas, including Bay Roberts, Belle Island, CBS, Paradise, Pouch Cove, Torbay and the southern shore.

Oral health providers typically charge based on 15-minute units, and our fees depend on the treatments you require and the length of your appointment. For example, the average cost for scaling and polishing ranges from $250 to $350. Our fees are in line with the Newfoundland and Labrador Dental fee guide. There is no additional charge for a home visit. We accept all major credit cards, cash, cheque and e-transfers.

We bring all the tools and equipment we need for your treatment, and will ensure everything is put back in place before we leave.

Yes. Infection control is an utmost priority at Mobile Smiles, and we follow strict protocols and adhere to the Newfoundland and Labrador College of Dental Hygienist Infection Control Policy.

Given the one-on-one nature of our services, we only accept appointment requests over the phone or by email. This way, we can best assess our travel time and make sure we get to you exactly when we say we will be there.
