Initial Assessment

This is an essential step, allowing us to tailor a treatment plan that will help you achieve better oral health. If you’re a new client, we will complete a medical and dental questionnaire. We will perform a complete intra-oral, extra-oral, and periodontal exam to determine the state of your oral health, as well as doing a cavity risk-assessment. We will also perform an oral cancer screening at every visit, doing a visual and tactile exam of the head, neck, face and mouth to screen for any suspicious lesions.

Education

Upon request, we are pleased to offer comprehensive educational seminars tailored specifically for personal caregivers and residential staff. These seminars provide research-based information and practical guidance on how to effectively maintain the oral health of housebound individuals or those who are unable to visit a traditional dental clinic. During these sessions, participants will learn about the latest techniques and best practices for daily oral care, the importance of routine dental hygiene, and strategies to manage common oral health issues that may arise in homebound patients. Our goal is to empower caregivers with the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure optimal oral health for those in their care, ultimately enhancing their overall well-being and quality of life. These educational seminars are an excellent resource for caregivers who are dedicated to providing the highest level of care to their patients and are looking to deepen their understanding of oral health management in a home care setting.

Please contact us to discuss a possible session in your facility.
